Belt Buckles: What To Know Before You Buy

!±8± Belt Buckles: What To Know Before You Buy

When it comes to accessories, belt buckles are amongst those that you should not overlook. Why is that so? Did you know that a belt buckle can make a great impact with the way you look? Yes, having a great buckle alone can already capture the attention of other people who are around you. But, before you proceed with looking for the best belt buckle that can help you improve the way you look, you first need to enhance your knowledge regarding the subject.

There are a variety of belt buckles that are available around and I'm sure that you are aware of that. Commonly, when buying a belt, people would just settle on the buckle that comes along with the belt that they will be purchasing. But, for those who are into fashion, they usually purchase a belt wherein they can have the opportunity to have the buckle replaced with other buckles. This is because they want to wear different buckles for different kinds of events and activities that they will be attending to.

Having a lot of belt buckles at home to choose from allows you to pick the right one that will compliment well with the dress that you will be wearing. Aside from that, it also allows you to choose a buckle that will blend well with the theme of the event or activity that you will be going to. For instance, if you are going to attend a western themed birthday party, then it would be great for you to use a belt buckle designed in western style such as those with an image of a horse, an eagle, a cowboy, or a horse shoe. Couple it with jeans, long sleeves shirt, leather shoes or boots, leather jacket, and a cowboy hat and you will surely look like a cowboy.

These belt buckles also come in different sizes, shapes, and raw materials. Often, buckles are made of metal, but there are also those that are made of silver and gold while others are compounded with gems and precious stones. For the shapes, you can choose from square, circle, oblong, and many more. Some buckles are thick and some are thin. Others prefer to use the thicker ones especially men because they find it very masculine while those that prefer to use the thin ones are mostly women.

With the increase in popularity of belt buckles, there are now buckles that can be used for other purposes. There are some that can be used as a lighter, a knife, a compass, a heart rate monitor, a can opener, and a bottle opener. This surely gives people more reasons to purchase different buckles for they cannot only use them in tightening their jeans, but also in other purposes.

Frye Melissa Riding Boot - Variations on the Riding Boot Theme

!±8± Frye Melissa Riding Boot - Variations on the Riding Boot Theme

The Frye Melissa Riding Boot may be best known in its style that bears the name "Riding Boot" - however, this is but one of the boots in the Melissa collection with a riding inspired style. Especially since a boot of this caliber can be considered an "investment", I recommend checking out the various other styles available.

Here is a list of the Riding Style Boots from the Melissa Collection:

The "Riding Boot" - This is a long, sleek boot with lacing up the front (to just below the mid-calf area), which functions to add a sort of vintage appearance to the boot as well as improve the fit on the leg area. It has the basic familiar style of the Melissa, with a feminine appearance and is definitely a lovely choice.

Melissa Button - It may or may not be well known that the "Button" version of the Frye Melissa is actually a riding inspired style. It happens to be (based on my research) the most popular boot in the collection. This boot also has a feminine, long sleek look with logo buttons atop the pull straps.

Melissa Honeycomb - Here we most definitely have a "variation on a theme"! This boot takes the sleek and feminine look of the Melissa style and adds a bit of an edge with a studded, loop style harness around the ankle area of the boot. Simply gorgeous - this one is my personal favorite. At first glance this boot may not even be considered a "riding" boot as many women think of them today, but it is designed as a riding boot style.

There are other styles among the Melissa collection, but the list above comprises the Frye Melissa Riding Boot styles for women.
